A police investigation was underway early Thursday morning at a residence in suburban Lockport, with the Will County Sheriff’s Office asking the public to avoid the area.
The sheriff’s office posted to Facebook about the investigation, at a home in the 200 block of Dellwood Avenue, just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
“Please avoid that area as there is expected to be a large police presence for the next several hours as the investigation continues,” the post said.
Early Thursday morning, video and photos from the scene showed SWAT team members at the house and a very large police presence. Some people were escorted out of the home, and some were taken into handcuffs.
