At least 1,003 people have died in the floods in Nepal, the country’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) said in its latest update a short while ago. A further 3,916 people are missing in the catastrophe, the NDRRMA said. Some 583 foreign nationals are among the missing, the Nepal Tourism Board said in a statement yesterday. Of those missing, 104 are from Nepal, 49 are from India, 33 are from Latvia, 18 are from the United States, and 15 are from the United Kingdom, Chinese authorities said.
