The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rochester Community Sports Complex on Oaks Street. There will be another one on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City Hall Atrium on Church Street.

At these workshops, homeowners will be able to get one-on-one assistance and ask questions about eligibility, and learn what documents are needed to apply for the programs. Staff will also explain the programs during the workshops and help people determine which benefits they may qualify for. You can learn more here.

Lollypop Farm is hosting its second annual Pars for Pets Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Tuesday. The tournament will take place at The Links at Greystone in Walworth. Proceeds from the event will directly support Lollypop Farm and its mission.

People can register in teams of four. According to the website, the cost to register is $600 total for the four-person team. The ticket includes 18 holes with a cart, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    Webster Planning Board meeting

A proposal for a new Verizon Wireless cell tower will be one topic up for discussion at Tuesday’s Webster Planning Board meeting. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the board room at the Webster Town Hall complex on 1002 Ridge Rd.

Developers are requesting a preliminary site plan approval to build the 125-foot tower on Wildflower Drive. You can see the meeting schedule here.

At previous meetings, neighbors raised concerns about the tower lowering property values and disturbing wildlife. At a meeting in April, one person said the tower would be built only 100 yards behind his house, saying it would disrupt a beautiful area of Webster.
