While Ghosts fans have to wait a little longer than normal to see their favorite household spirits return, there is some exciting news for the vampire fans out there. Showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman have been working on another comedy series, Eternally Yours.
Focusing on a family of vampires, the series will premiere on Oct. 6, 2026. It takes the Ghosts timeslot for now, airing straight after new episodes of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, and the first trailer has been released.
This trailer gives a brief idea of what to expect, getting to know the main characters and the basic storyline. As a young couple talks about the next stage of dating, it comes to the part of meeting the parents. The problem for one is that she’s hiding a deep and dark secret, and that is that they’re a family of Canadians…Sorry, no, vampires!
Eternally Yours is set in present-day Seattle, although there will clearly be some moments set in the past as we get to know our centuries-old vampires. Charles and Liz have been married for 500 years, and now their coven of vampires has fallen into a comfortable setting. When their daughter Emma brings home her new boyfriend, Max, things are completely shaken up, as he’s human. He’s not the only human in the house, either!
Fans of Ghosts, What We Do In the Shadows, and more took to the comment section on YouTube, sharing their thoughts on the new comedy, and so far, it’s positive.
“God we need more early 2000s style comedies like this,” one commenter shared, echoing a few other thoughts about how the trailer gives a 2000s vibe of comedy style.
Another commented on the casting, sharing, “2 European vamps and one asian [sic] vamp so far I am invested now ”
A third said, “Im starting to believe Parker Young is a real vampire. Dude looks the same as he did when he acted in “Suburgatory” 15 years ago.”
While, a fourth focused on Allegra Edwards landing another show, “So happy to see Allegra Edwards in another comedy series. She’s so underrated!!”
Fans of What We Do In the Shadows are also excited about the new series, sharing that they need some “vampire shenanigans” again.
Of course, there are plenty of calls for a crossover episode with Ghosts. This would mean that the vampires would have to head to Woodstone Manor at some point, since only Pete can leave the Manor — and that’s if he’s okay after that Season 5 finale! However, there have been no comments about any crossover episodes just yet, as Eternally Yours is still to premiere. At least with the shows having the same showrunners and airing on the same network, crossovers should be possible, similar to the way Fire Country and Sheriff Country handle their moments.
Eternally Yours premieres on Oct. 6, 2026, at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
