Mohammad Abbas has achieved a rare milestone on day four of the ongoing second Test between England and Pakistan at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground on Sunday (August 30).
Abbas completed a brilliant five-wicket haul and put his name on the famous Lord's Honors Board. The Pakistani fast bowler reached the milestone by dismissing Ollie Robinson for 8 off 15 balls. Earlier, Mohammad Amir questions Imam-ul-Haq’s commitment after Lord’s injury.
Mohammad Abbas bowled a perfect length outside off and got the ball to move away. Robinson tried to defend from the front foot but only managed to edge it behind. The wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan took a sharp catch to ensure Robinson’s exit at Lord’s.
It was a huge milestone for Abbas. The Pakistani fast bowler celebrated with a huge roar before going down on his knees and kissing the Lord's ground. It was his ability to land the ball in the right area and make it seem far away that has been constantly troubling England batters at Lord’s.
It was his fifth wicket during England’s second innings, and with this, he has joined the elite group of Pakistani icons. Abbas became the seventh Pakistani bowler to enter the Lord's Test Honours Board.
