A suspect was dead following an officer-involved shooting Friday evening in Gary, Indiana State Police said.
State police said they was requested to investigate a shooting that occurred near 4th Avenue and Broadway. One suspect was dead, and no officers were injured, according to the agency. The shooting involved officers from both the Gary Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
Crime scene investigation officers remained on the scene as of early Saturday morning.
