A first-look trailer has been released for the new 5 series, Forever Home, based on Graham Norton’s best-selling novel of the same name.
Providing a taste of how the tense drama might unfold, the trailer promises a mysterious thriller that tosses in a touch of conspiracy and much more to come.
The synopsis for the upcoming series reads: "When her older partner Robert's dementia worsens, Carol Crottie starts to wonder if the reason he won’t leave his home has something to do with the whereabouts of his first wife, who ran off with Robert’s brother 20 years ago, leaving behind their two young children Kaden and Sally.
"When Robert’s anxiety about the house’s hidden basement, rises, Carol’s curiosity is piqued as she and her mother investigate the whereabouts of Robert’s first wife, Joan. But the secrets Robert has kept will take a long time to untangle."

"The cellar is full of poison, you mustn't go down there," Henshall’s Robert proclaims to his partner Carol (Nuttall) in the trailer, before engaging in a tense confrontation — "What have you done Robert?".
After shouting from the balcony of his rather splendid home "I’m not leaving this house," a family investigation ensues into whether something darker might be going on under the surface.
Upon the announcement of the series, Norton said in a statement: "In writing Forever Home, I was initially inspired by the simple idea of packing up a home later in life, and the 'what if' scenarios and complexities that come with later-life relationships.
"The novel soon evolved into a funny, twisted, ‘dark-romp’ full of farcical scenes and it’s wonderful to see the depth and richness of Carol’s story realised as a screenplay."
Forever Home is coming soon to watch and stream on 5.
