As per a PTI report, North Zone coaches Ajay Sharma and Sarandeep Singh have decided to include Sangwan after coming under scrutiny for their selection call. Sangwan had scored 828 runs in the previous Ranji Trophy season, finishing third among the tournament's leading run-scorers.
Yash Dhull, meanwhile, is expected to retain his place despite making only nine and zero against West Zone. PTI reported that Dhull had a hamstring niggle but was training ahead of the semi-final and could open alongside Sangwan, potentially leaving Qamran Iqbal out of the XI.
The quarter-final selection had attracted considerable attention after Sangwan was left out in favour of Dhull.

North Zone will face South Zone in the second semi-final at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru from August 30. The team booked its place in the last four after defeating West Zone by 52 runs in the quarter-final.
North Zone beat West Zone in Quarter Final
North Zone entered the semi-final after producing a strong all-round performance against West Zone in their quarter-final. They posted 251 in the first innings before bowling West Zone out for 187, gaining a 64-run lead.
Ayush Badoni's 51 and Anshul Kamboj's 60 were the major contributions with the bat, while Abid Mushtaq delivered the standout bowling performance with 5/39.
North Zone then scored 222 in their second innings, with Badoni making another half-century and Nishant Sindhu adding 44. West Zone were set 287 for victory but were bowled out for 234, giving North Zone a 52-run win.
Musheer Khan top-scored for West Zone with 96, while Ruturaj Gaikwad contributed 66. Abid Mushtaq completed a nine-wicket match haul with 4/60 in the second innings, finishing with match figures of 9/99 and earning Player of the Match honours.
North Zone will now meet South Zone in the semi-final, with the winner moving into the Duleep Trophy final.
