Olivia Rodrigo may not have found the cure for the issues women are facing all over the world, but $10 million — which the singer has already raised for organizations supporting reproductive rights, healthcare and domestic abuse survivors through Daisy Chain Fields — is a pretty good start.

At a press conference attended by Billboard on Friday (Aug. 28), Rodrigo revealed the eye-popping amount her festival’s ticket sales have brought in for its benefitting organizations. “It’s a real honor to announce that we are donating $10 million to be given directly to these 10 nonprofit partners,” she said, earning applause. “I’m so excited for tomorrow, I’ll see you guys there.”
The news comes one day prior to the first-ever Daisy Chain Fields, a daylong event taking place in Irvine, California. Rodrigo personally curated the lineup, which features Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage, The Breeders, Bikini Kill and more, as well as “special guests” Stevie Nicks, Karen O and Sarah McLachlan. KATSEYE was also intended to play a set, but it was announced Thursday that the girl group had dropped out in light of member Megan spraining her ankle, with Devon Again subbing in on the bill.
Rodrigo first announced Daisy Chain in June. “i’ve had a dream of doing this festival for years and i am so ecstatic its finally coming true!!” she said at the time. “Daisy Chain Fields features an all-women lineup and 100 percent of the net proceeds will go to charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls … i firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change and I’m hopeful this festival will be just that.”
The list of partner organizations benefiting from the $10 million also includes Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, FreeFrom, Jhpiego, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, National Domestic Workers Alliance, National Institute for Reproductive Health and National Women’s Law Center.
