Milo Yiannopoulos — Yeezy head of special projects and spokesperson for Ye (formerly Kanye West) — is in custody after being arrested by U.S. Immigration and Enforcement officers in Louisiana on Thursday.
Online records show that Yiannopoulos, a U.K. native, is currently in ICE custody as of Friday (Aug. 28).
Homeland Security released a statement confirming that Yiannopoulos was apprehended at Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, Louisiana.
DHS claims he legally entered the U.S. in May 2019 but has overstayed his visa and missed an immigration hearing in July, which resulted in a final removal order being issued.
“On August 27, ICE arrested Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) in Kenner, Louisiana,” Homeland Security wrote on X. “Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York.”
DHS’ statement continued: “He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws. Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing. He will remain in ICE custody pending removal.”

Milo Yiannopoulos became known as a political commentator in the years prior to aligning with Ye,l and joined forces with West when he attempted to make a presidential run in the 2024 election. He’s since served as a spokesperson, chief of staff and head of special projects for Yeezy. Yiannopoulos announced in 2024 that he was resigning from Yeezy, but seemed to find his way back to the company.
In his recent posts to X, Yiannopoulos has been a staunch supporter of ICE and the deportation of illegal aliens. In July, he called for ICE agents to be stationed at supermarkets and government buildings in California “with on the spot deportation for anyone who can’t prove they are in the U.S. legally.”
