J. Cole has canceled his concert scheduled for Thursday night (Aug. 27) at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, following the death of a member of his touring crew.
The venue announced the cancellation in a statement on Instagram, sharing that the crew member had died in a trucking accident earlier that morning.

“Following the tragic passing of a member of the touring crew in a trucking accident this morning, J. Cole’s performance at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento tonight, August 27, has been canceled,” the statement reads. “Our thoughts are with the crew member’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
No additional details regarding the accident or the identity of the crew member were immediately provided.
Ticket holders who purchased their tickets through Ticketmaster will receive refunds automatically and do not need to take any further action, according to the announcement. Those who purchased tickets through third-party resellers are advised to contact their point of purchase.
The Sacramento stop was scheduled as part of J. Cole’s The Fall-Off Tour, his first solo headlining tour in five years and his first global run in nearly a decade. The tour supports his seventh studio album, The Fall Off, and is scheduled to visit more than 50 cities across more than 15 countries. His next scheduled dates are set for Oakland, California, on Saturday (Aug. 28) and Sunday (Aug. 29), as well as Los Angeles dates on Tuesday (Sept. 1) and next Thursday (Sept. 3). It is unclear whether any upcoming shows will be affected.
