Prime Video's Nicole Clemens has opened up about The Wheel of Time's cancellation, suggesting there is no direct replacement to the show, but that more fantasy is on the way. Clemens, who is head of UK & international originals at Prime Video, was asked about the beloved fantasy series, which was cancelled after three seasons, at the 2026 Edinburgh TV Festival.
She said: "I don’t think there’s a new Wheel of Time in the pipeline at the moment but we are open to big fantasy."
The series, which was based on Robert Jordan's iconic novels and saw Rosamund Pike and Josha Stradowski lead an ensemble cast, was cancelled in 2025 - despite many fans believing it had just hit its stride.
Clemens's comments come after an impressive fan-led petition (#SaveWOT), addressed to Sony Pictures Television, Prime Video and other streaming platforms, called for the show to be revived at Prime Video or picked up by another streamer.
Along with a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $32,800 for billboard advertising, more than 200,000 fans signed the petition.
Meanwhile, showrunner Rafe Judkins also called for other streamers to pick up the series in a statement after the show was axed.

The newly announced projects will be spearheaded by producer Thomas Vu, known for his work on Arcane and League of Legends, alongside IP owner iwot Studios.
But, according to Variety, the new projects will not continue the live-action series.
The Wheel of Time seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Prime Video.
