As for the subwoofer, it pairs wirelessly with the bar, which gives you more freedom to place it where the bass sounds best, though it still needs to be near a power outlet.
Amazon keeps things simple elsewhere, though, since there is no wifi or companion app and most adjustments are handled through the included remote. It is also worth knowing that this is strictly an audio product: It is not Alexa-enabled, does not support Alexa Home Theater, and has no Fire TV streaming built in, so you will still need a separate Fire TV device or compatible smart TV for that experience, notes this PCMag review. Those omissions may not bother someone who simply wants better dialogue, stronger bass, and Dolby Atmos support without moving to a full surround system, and at $249.99, that is where this bundle makes the most sense.
