NEWARK, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health says it will formally suspend in-patient labor and delivery services at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital starting Thursday, Sept. 3.
This update comes month after RRH first announced it would be closing its labor and delivery until.

The State Health Department has given conditional approval for the Marshall Birthing Center to close, pending final requirements.
Labor and delivery services will continue through Monday, Aug. 31. After that, patients will be redirected to Rochester General Hospital or other regional centers.
