Emily is set to say a final adieu.
Netflix has confirmed that the sixth and final season of Emily in Paris will premiere on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December 2026, drawing a close to the globe-trotting fashion comedy-drama that turned Lily Collins's Emily Cooper into a streaming phenomenon.
The season is currently in production in France, and creator and showrunner Darren Star has promised the show's most expansive outing yet, with the action moving well beyond Paris.
Speaking to Netflix's Tudum, Star said: "I wanted the final season to feel like the biggest Emily in Paris experience yet. We went to multiple locations this season, and Greece was somewhere we really wanted to showcase in a spectacular way.
"That's part of the fantasy of Europe: you're always within reach of another extraordinary place, another culture, another adventure. I wanted the audience to have that vicarious experience of traveling right along with Emily."
The tease of Greece addresses a cliffhanger left hanging at the end of season 5.
In that finale, Emily broke things off with Marcello and returned to Paris, only for Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, to send her a postcard inviting her to join him in Greece after learning she was single again.
The show did not reveal her answer, leaving her romantic future deliberately unresolved heading into the final run.
Netflix's official logline sets up the stakes for Emily's send-off. "Stepping into a new era of ambition and romance, Emily faces defining choices that test her ultimate loyalties."
The logline continues: "But as unexpected career conflicts and shifting relationships force her to reevaluate where her true future lies, she must make one final choice between her career, her heart, and the life she's built in Paris."
Collins, who is also credited as a producer, returns as Emily alongside the show's familiar ensemble: Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Bravo as Gabriel, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane and Paul Forman as Nico.
Emily in Paris season 6 will be available to watch on Netflix from Thursday 24 December 2026. You can sign up to Netflix from £5.99 a month. Netflix is also available on Sky TV and Virgin Media.
