CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — A Canandaigua woman has been indicted by an Ontario County grand jury on two counts of assault — both classified as violent felonies — stemming from two alleged assaults at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua.
On July 27, 2026, Alyna Lindenau is alleged to have injured a patient care technician by kicking her in the knee. Then, on August 7, 2026, Lindenau is accused of forcibly bending the thumb of a patient care technician, injuring her. She also is accused of threatening medical staff and responding police officers.
Lindenau faces a maximum of seven years in prison on each charge. She is expected to be arraigned in county court the week of Aug. 31.
According to Canandaigua Police, this month Lindenau also made repeated threats to burn down the hospital and kill hospital personnel.
