SENNETT, N.Y. — An inmate at the Cayuga County Jail is facing new charges after the Cayuga County Sheriff says he threw toilet water contaminated with urine at jail deputies.

David O’Brien, of Baldwinsville, is charged with aggravated harassment of an employee by an inmate, and menacing.

    The sheriff says on July 22, O’Brien became disruptive and used a cup to throw toilet water contaminated with urine at jail deputies. The sheriff says multiple deputies were hit with the liquid.

    O’Brien also broke a meal tray and threatened to use a broken piece of the tray to hurt deputies, the sheriff says.
