Hollywood starlet, best known for her roles in films such as The Manchurian Candidate and Batman, Leslie Parrish has died at the age of 90.
Her family confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter, with her stepdaughter, Erica Berdan, revealing that Parrish died in Washington state in late 2025.
Parrish, born Marjorie Hellen in 1935, began her career as a model but transitioned to acting in the late ’50s, appearing in films such as The Manchurian Candidate (1962) alongside Frank Sinatra. She also starred in several major TV shows such as Star Trek, Batman, and Perry Mason.

In total, she had over 75 film and television credits to her name at the time of her death.
Later in life, Parrish shifted her focus to environmental issues and established the organization “Threatened and Endangered: Little Applegate Valley” (TELAV). She also created a 240-acre wildlife sanctuary on Orcas Island to save it from development.
Over the course of her life, she was married twice: to songwriter Ric Marlow in 1955 (the couple divorced in 1961) and again to author Richard Bach. They divorced in 1999. Her stepdaughter, Berdan, is the daughter of Parrish’s second husband, Bach.
According to her website, Parrish was focused on writing her autobiography before her death. However, her main priority was her environmental work.
“Her greatest concern is the destruction of the planet on which we live and the extinction of the glorious life forms which have thrived here for so many millennia,” her website reads.“She believes the Earth has passed the point of no return but still continues her efforts to ‘save the planet.'”
It continued, “Her roof is covered with solar panels, and she runs her home and her car, a TESLA, with her own electricity, keeping her carbon footprint as small as possible. She concentrates heavily on environmental work.”
