Amidst this, on Saturday, the team’s pacer Brydon Carse was caught by the police and was seen in handcuffs after an altercation in a nightclub in Derbyshire. As expected, the pacer has been dropped from the second Test match following his incident.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Sunday confirmed that they are well aware of the matter and are currently investigating it. Brydon Carse did not feature in the playing XI for the first Test and was thus released to play in the ongoing County Championship for Durham.
