ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police swarmed Strong Memorial Hospital overnight over what it says was a patient’s false call about an active shooting.
Officers got the report around 2 a.m. According to RPD, officers quickly determined that the call was false and identified the caller as a 39-year-old patient from Spencerport. He was put under mental health detention, charged with falsely reporting an incident, and given an appearance ticket.
