One little girl had a pretty impressive audience for her first-ever meeting with Goofy.
Comedian Loryn Powell shared an adorable video to her Instagram on Friday, August 21, capturing her young daughter’s first time meeting Goofy at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel. While the little girl was understandably focused on the Disney character, Matt Damon was seemingly in the background watching the sweet interaction unfold.
In the clip, Powell’s husband kneels beside their blonde daughter as Goofy approaches wearing chef attire. The little girl immediately lights up, smiling as the character waves before eventually wrapping her in a hug.

But look just behind the family and there’s Damon, dressed casually in a gray shirt, white pants and black baseball cap. With his arms folded, the Oscar winner appears to watch the encounter with a smile on his face.
“POV you’re watching your husband and daughter meet Goofy for the first time but don’t realize Matt Damon is also watching your husband and daughter meet Goofy for the first time,” text over the video reads.
Powell joked at the accidental celebrity cameo in her caption, writing, “When your daughter is more starstruck by Goofy than Matt Damon ?”
Fans quickly zeroed in on Damon’s unexpected appearance in the background.
