Human remains found near Knights Landing earlier this year have been identified as the homicide investigation continues, authorities said Friday.
On April 30, investigators responded to the 16200 block of Highway 108 for a report of a body possibly found. The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said the human remains were located near the side of the road.
On Friday, the human remains were identified as David Menchaca, a 50-year-old from Waterford.
