CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Saturday is your last chance to swim in Canandaigua Lake at Kershaw Beach this summer. The swimming season ends after Saturday due to a lack of staff, according to the City of Canandaigua.
The beach will be open for swimming from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The early closure doesn’t have to do with the harmful harmful algae blooms that forced the beach to temporarily close earlier this month. City officials reopened the beach once they determined the water was safe.
