England stays at 7th in WTC table
In the second innings, Pakistan could not shorten the lead of 238 runs as they were bowled out for 135 runs. Mohammad Rizwan was the pick of the batters for the side in the second innings as he scored 41 runs, and no other batter could go past 30 runs mark yet again, as Robinson, Jofra Archer, and Tongue picked three wickets each.
England, despite the win, stands at the 7th position in the WTC points table with 24.36% PCT. In this WTC cycle, England have won five games and lost 8 and drawn just one game. They need to win the second game to keep their WTC hopes alive.
On the other hand, Pakistan, after winning the last Test in their WTC cycle against West Indies, climbed up one spot in the WTC. However, after this loss, they stay at the same position in the table.
