The BBC has unveiled first-look images from its upcoming chiller The Witch Farm, which comes from the mind behind stage hit 2:22 A Ghost Story.
Adapted from the BBC Radio 4 series of the same name, the story unfolds in 1989, when couple Liz (Gabrielle Creevy) and Bill (Michael Socha) move from London to rural south Wales for a change of pace.
Initially, the "isolation" of their modern farmhouse is a welcome relief, but things take a dark turn "when frightening, inexplicable things begin to happen around the house" and "a strange figure" appears to them.
The synopsis for The Witch Farm, courtesy of the BBC, reads: "What follows is a steady escalation of the chillingly uncanny - unexplained disturbances and an unsettling sense that they are not alone."
"As Bill and Liz begin to investigate," it continues, "the house draws them deeper into a history that refuses to stay buried.
"And as the land yields its secrets, so too does their marriage - testing the limits of trust, belief, and what they're willing to deny in order to survive."
Creevy will be known to viewers from recent roles in The Guest and Netflix's Black Doves, while Socha has taken major roles in the likes of Showtrial and The Cage.
Peter Kay's Car Share star Sian Gibson also steps into a more dramatic role for the supernatural tale, portraying medium Bethan, who attempts to uncover the cause of the apparent haunting.

Last but not least, His Dark Materials alum Lewin Lloyd plays Jonathan, the teenage son of Liz and Bill.
Socha and Creevy take over for Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid's Tale) and Alexandra Roach (Nightsleeper), who voiced their characters in the BBC Radio 4 production.
Both versions are inspired by a true story, and draw on "first-hand accounts, theories and real events". The series consists of four hour-long episodes, co-commissioned by BBC One and BBC Cymru, and will be written by Danny Robins, creator of the podcast and TV series Uncanny.
A release date is yet to be announced, but we'll bring you further updates as they come in.
The Witch Farm is coming soon to BBC One and iPlayer.
