Poteat was ruled eligible on Friday and was given one more year of eligibility after he spent 2 seasons at the junior college level. He played at Temple the last 2 seasons and finished last year with 29 tackles and 2 forced fumbles for the Owls.
For the Commodores, the defensive line has a legitimate chance to be a strength of the team. Returning for the team is defensive tackle Jaylen Stone and Mason Carter, while Boston College transfer Edwin Kolenge and Iowa transfer Brian Allen Jr. are two more pieces that should give them the depth to compete in the SEC.
