The Italian women’s 4×100 medley relay of Sara Curtis, Benedetta Pilato, Anita Gastaldi, and Emma Virginia Menicucci swam to a new national record, touching in a 3:53.60 to win silver at the 2026 European Championships. That swim broke the previous national record of a 3:55.79 set by Margherita Panziera, Arianna Castiglioni, Elena di Liddo, and Federica Pellegrini during prelims at the 2020(1) Tokyo Olympics.
