ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The 28th annual Clarissa Street Reunion returned to Rochester to celebrate African American history, culture, and music.
Thousands gathered on Clarissa Street from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for live performances, historical exhibits and family activities. Clarissa Street is one of the most historic and changed streets in Rochester.
“That’s exactly what Clarissa St is about. Bringing people back and being able to celebrate the great times. And not forget the history of it,” said Patricia Mason-Williams, the chairperson of the Clarissa Street Reunion.
This year’s event follows the induction of the historic Pythodd Room into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame, highlighting the street’s musical legacy.
