ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 32-year-old man is facing charges after Rochester Police say he shot at another man while driving on Arnett Boulevard.
Tyrone Morris is charged with assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon. Police say on Aug. 11 at around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the area of Arnett Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue for the report of a ShotSpotter activation.
When police got there, they say they found evidence of shots fired but no victims. Police say around 30 minutes later, a man in his 30s arrived at Rochester General Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower body.
Investigators say the victim was in a car when Morris shot at him from another car before fleeing. According to police, Morris has a dispute with the victim.
Morris was found on East Ridge Road Thursday by the Rochester Police Department’s Tactical Unit. Police say Morris initially ran from officers, who eventually caught him and safely took him into custody.
During his arrest, police say Morris was found with a 9mm loaded handgun. He was transported to the Monroe County Jail and released with non-monetary conditions.
