Production is officially under way on Discretion, the Paramount+ legal thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning.
The series was initially announced last September but now the streamer has confirmed that cameras are now rolling on the eight-episode drama.
Produced by A24, the drama has also confirmed some further casting additions. Joining Kidman, Fanning and Josh Lucas are Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk) and Colton Ryan (The Girl From Plainville).
James is set to play Logan, "a sharp corporate associate who becomes a mentor to Lenny", while Ryan plays Boone, Lenny's ex-boyfriend, "a recovering addict from an affluent Dallas family who is nine months sober and living at a halfway house as he quietly tries to rebuild his life".
Discretion follows a summer associate named Lenny, played by Fanning, who works at a prestigious Dallas law firm but uncovers a web of non-disclosure agreements masking a dark truth.
The synopsis continues: "When she realises she has signed the same agreement, her discoveries put her in the crosshairs of the firm's most powerful female partner, Sharon, played by Kidman, upending their mentor-protege dynamic and raising the question of who gets to keep secrets, and at what cost."
The series marks a reunion of sorts for Kidman and Fanning, who can more recently be seen in Apple TV's Margo's Got Money Troubles.
