ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A new Little Free Library is now open outside Assemblymember Harry Bronson’s district office at 840 University Avenue.
The library was set up to celebrate this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge encourages kids to read at least 15 minutes a day for 40 days.
“Reading connects us to worlds far beyond our own – independent bookstores, public and school libraries, and schools play an important role in establishing a community that is connected through literacy and learning,” said Assemblymember Harry Bronson.
Community members are invited to donate books to the Little Free Library. The little library was painted by an RCSD grad and features quotes from Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass.
