ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police arrested an 18-year-old man early Wednesday morning after a chase ended with officers recovering at least one loaded illegal gun.
RPD officers say it started when they were investigating a weapons complaint around 3:30 a.m.
Officers tried to pull over a vehicle near Clifford Avenue and North Street, but say it wouldn’t stop. The vehicle took off and officers chased it to the intersection of Trenaman Street and North Clinton Avenue, where several people got out and ran off.
Officers found the suspects and recovered at least one loaded illegal firearm. The 18-year-old Rochester man will face weapons possession charges.
Police said more charges could come as the investigation continues.
