ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Looking for a new pet? Happy Tails Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions.
This Saturday and Sunday, people can adopt all eligible animals for free at the shelter on County Road 48 in Canandaigua.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, there will also be a bounce house, free face-painting, craft vendors, hot dogs, and raffle baskets.
The shelter says it is currently overcrowded, and it is working to find loving homes for every dog and cat in its care.
There will be an additional free adoption weekend Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday, Sept. 20.

Rochester Animal Services free adoptions
On select dates through October, Rochester Animal Services will be offering free adoptions. The shelter will be offering free adoptions this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the CountryMax on West Ridge Road in Spencerport.
