VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – A trio of Los Angeles County residents were arrested in connection with a drug delivery service selling marijuana and psilocybin products to Ventura County juveniles.
In April and May of this year, detectives from Ventura County Fentanyl and Overdose Crime Units (VCFocus) learned about a drug delivery service selling marijuana products and psilocybin mushrooms to juveniles in the local area stated a press release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
During their investigation, detectives identified three people -a 28-year-old and a 26-year-old from Chatsworth and a 20-year-old from Van Nuys- who were identified as participants in the illegal sales and delivery scheme that used multiple social media and messaging platforms detailed the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
On July 29, a search warrant was executed in the 10300 block of Hillview Avenue in Chatsworth where two of the suspects lived together noted the local law enforcement agency.
Around 570 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 194 grams of concentrated cannabis, over 21,000 grams of dried marijuana, 90 counterfeit Xanax pills, and two semi-automatic handguns were seized during the late July search shared the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Additionally, an indoor marijuana grow site with over 500 plants was found inside the Chatsworth home and over $40,000 in various denominations of U.S. currency were discovered during the search added the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Office explained that the Chatsworth residents were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Jail on the following charges:

On July 30, the third suspect, a 20-year-old from Van Nuys, was located and arrested by VC Focus detectives in Pacoima stated the local sheriff's office.
He was booked on charges of furnishing marijuana to a minor and conspiracy to commit a crime before being released on bail noted the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
