Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is crumbling under the pressure of ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt's (Tina O'Brien) imprisonment in Coronation Street.
In April, she whacked Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) over the head with some scaffolding, which resulted in him falling to his death.
Gary Windass (Mikey North) was the first person she'd contacted, and he helped her dispose of the weapon. This led to his wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) believing that they were having an affair.
Sarah was finally arrested and then charged with murder. Gary was left guilt-ridden, and under pressure from Kit, handed himself into the police earlier this week.
In today's episode, Gary and Maria broke the news to their sons Jake Windass (Bobby Bradshaw) and Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) that they were going to have to cancel a big family holiday to Orlando because of the ongoing police investigation.
The lads were furious, and Maria couldn't believe that her happy life was falling from beneath her feet. Heading to work, she had an awkward encounter with Kit.
In her absence, he listened to a voicemail from a woman who asked to speak with him, before locking his phone.
Sarah, meanwhile, explained to brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) that she'd decided to end her relationship with Kit for his sake. Not only could it cause issues behind bars if the other women on her wing knew that she was shacked up with a copper, but also he could get in trouble within his own workplace.

David revealed that Maria was sulking because she and Gary had cancelled their holiday, which left Sarah only more upset. She couldn't believe that she'd roped them into her mess, and felt dreadful.
At the Viaduct Bistro, Kit was knocking back alcohol and was met by an intrigued Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown). It was clear from the outset that she wanted to swoop in on him following his separation from Sarah.
He told her to stop following him, before heading back to the Redbank Apartments to continue drowning his sorrows.
After deleting a photograph of Sarah from his phone, he dialled a number and left a message to say that he'd "be there".
Who was he calling, and what does this mean?
