As he gears up to release his first album of new material in 18 years, the beloved country crooner just dropped one of the never-before-heard songs from the vault, which he recorded before suffering a life-changing stroke in 2013.
On Friday, Aug. 7, Travis officially released "I Don't Care," the latest single from his upcoming album. It follows last month's release of the record's lead single, "Fish On."
Co-written with Michael Curtis, Travis' recording of "I Don't Care" was recovered by his longtime producer Kyle Lehning after years of being locked away in the vault. The original recording was assembled, remixed, and remastered to introduce fans to something they haven't heard before while still capturing the timeless sound that has defined Travis' legendary career.
With a powerful and emotionally-charged message about love, pain and broken trust, "I Don't Care" joins a list of other iconic break-up songs from Travis' catalog, including "I Told You So," "On the Other Hand" and "Diggin' Up Bones," just to name a few.
