Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) has made a horrifying discovery in Coronation Street.
It comes after reuniting with his cousin Richie Parkinson (Nathan Sussex), a chance encounter which led to them spending the night drinking together.
Tim's best pal Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) wasn't sure what to make of the newcomer, believing him to be far too brash in a friendship group that he'd only just been introduced to.
Half-brother Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) tried to give Richie the benefit of the doubt, and claimed that Steve was just jealous of someone coming in the way of his friendship with Tim.
However, perhaps Steve should've been right to be wary.
In today's episode, after Richie had spent another night at No. 4 due to issues in his marriage, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) told her husband that it was time for him to leave. She wanted some alone time with Tim in the absence of their foster daughters Joanie (Savanna Pennington) and Shanice Michaelis (Molly Kilduff), who are staying with their aunt in Spain.
Richie's presence in the house was ruining that opportunity, though Tim assured her that he was leaving that day to stay with a mate in Liverpool.
When he helped his cousin into a cab, he urged him not to give up on his relationship with wife Rachel and to make amends.
Later that day, as Sally and Tim finally settled down on the sofa for a night together, Richie's wallet was found. Sally was dismayed when her hubby decided he was going to take it home for him, taking the address from his drivers licence.
Tim drove to a house in Hulme, where a startled looking Richie answered the door. Blood was immediately spotted on his shirt, and before Richie could explain himself, Tim rushed inside and saw something horrific on the kitchen floor.
