A fire broke out at a Chicago elementary school on Saturday, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
Around 8 p.m., Chicago Fire Department crews responded to a fire at Paderewski Elementary School, located at 2221 S. Lawndale Ave in the city’s Little Village neighborhood.
Video posted to social media showed several fire trucks in the area as crews responded to the fire. Smoke could also be seen rising from the roof of the building in photos shared by CFD.
CFD said no injuries were reported and they were still working to ventilate the building as of 8:40 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
