Sooryavanshi has shifted his focus to the longer format ahead of the domestic season. The left-handed batter recently joined a special training camp at the Rajasthan Royals Academy and will represent East Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2026 as vice-captain under Ishan Kishan against North East Zone in Bengaluru.
Shikhar Dhawan said that talent alone is not enough to succeed at the highest level. The former India opener praised Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's fearless approach and added that courage and self-belief are just as important as batting skill in modern cricket.

While Vaibhav has already established himself in white-ball cricket, he will be tested in the Duleep Trophy. He made his first-class debut for Bihar against Mumbai in 2024 but has played only eight first-class matches so far.
