ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our humid and unsettled weather pattern will continue for one more day before a cold front will clear the air for us. We’ll see a passing shower or two Friday night, otherwise just a partly to mostly cloudy sky and muggy air. The weekend will be split. Saturday will see a few more showers or storms, while Sunday turns dry again. We’ll stay humid on Saturday and wait on a cold front to arrive Saturday night. Ahead of this, dew points hold in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Some sun will provide some fuel for a few more storms, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Saturday looks like anything but a washout, but you’ll want to keep the First Alert Weather App handy to track any showers or storms if they do pop up near you if you have outdoor plans. We don’t see major impacts to the Rochester Air Show, but a few performances may need to slide if a storm pops nearby.
Sunday should turn out to be a lovely day. Our cold front will usher in drier air and lower dew points, making for a much more comfortable day outdoors (or indoors!). Some clouds to start the day will give way to a mostly sunny sky by lunchtime and into the afternoon. Temperatures on Sunday will be seasonably warm in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
Our next round of rain and storms will arrive Monday afternoon and evening. We’ll keep an eye on the potential for some gusty storms with heavy rain. The cold front will push through by Tuesday morning. leaving us with some lingering showers early, followed by some sunshine.
