The Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Ihsanullah has slammed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, Mishbah-ul-Haq, and the selection committee as well. Mohsin Naqvi made padel a compulsory part of training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. In recent years, fitness has been a concern for the Men in Green cricketers.
Ihsanullah, while speaking on a video, stated that he called the current Director of High-Performance, Aaqib Javed, and he believes that if he was in the plans of the Pakistan team, Javed and Misbah-ul-Haq would have called him or even texted him once, and also the chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, is also not replying to his calls.

Ihsanullah's retirement controversy
The 23-year-old pacer was considered one of the fastest bowlers in Pakistan’s team before his injury in 2023. However, he announced and then quickly reversed a decision to retire from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in January 2025 after he went unsold in the PSL season 10 draft, admitting he did so out of frustration.
He later, via GeoNews, confirmed he has no plans to retire, aiming instead to channel the snub into hard work and prove his fitness and capability for future drafts.
Ihsanullah's career history
Back in 2023, he was recognised for producing the second-best spell of the Pakistan Super League with 5-12 against Quetta Gladiators, while playing for Multan Sultans in the 2023 PSL.
His spell was also regarded as the fastest in PSL history, with an average speed of 144.37 kph and one of his deliveries reaching over 154.5 kph, surpassing Haris Rauf's spell against Peshawar Zalmi in the 2022 PSL, when his average speed was 144.16 kph.
Ihsanullah suffered an elbow injury during his first ODI series, at home against New Zealand. He went wicket-less in his first and only ODI match for the Men in Green as he bowled 8 overs, leaking 60 runs.
After that, the way his injury was treated brought in Multan Sultans franchise owner Ali Tareen to criticise the PCB for inappropriate support of the fast bowler during his time of injury. In his T20I debut, he picked up a wicket on his first ball. He has gone on to play four T20Is for the Men in Green and picked 6 wickets.
