It’s not the first time Gilmore has left the program. But it appears this parting with the Cats might be for good.

Gilmore reclassified from the Class of 2025 to 2024. As a freshman, he was limited to just 7 games of the 2024 campaign, missing the first 5 contests due to injury. In limited action, he posted 6 catches for 153 yards with 1 touchdown.

Following the 2024 season, Gilmore transferred to Nebraska. He spent the spring with the Huskers, but returned to UK for the 2025 season. As a sophomore, Gilmore appeared in 12 games, making 5 starts. He recoded 28 catches for 313 yards and 1 touchdown.

Following the 2025 season and dismissal of Mark Stoops, Gilmore entered the transfer portal again. He signed with Baylor, but opted to remain at UK and play for Will Stein.

We’ll see what’s next for Gilmore.
