The positive All My Children news continues to roll in as Daytime Emmy-winning scribe Jamey Giddens has taken to social media to give fans an update on the status of the upcoming All My Children continuation movie he and Ron Carlivati have penned for Lifetime.
Giddens, who recently was announced as co-headwriter of The Young and the Restless with former General Hospital headwriter Dan O’Connor, was asked on X how he was going to balance his workload at The Young and the Restless with working on the All My Children return.
The writer revealed that the film script is completely ready to go. “We turned in our All My Children script months ago,” he shared. Giddens went on to share that his “sole focus as of this past Monday is Genoa City, Wisconsin! ? #YR.”

Since then, very little information has been publicly revealed. When Daytime Confidential broke the news that Giddens and Carlivati were penning the films, they suggested that viewers would see Erica Kane (Susan Lucci), Dr. Maria Santos (Eva LaRue), Haley Vaughan-Santos (Kelly Ripa), and Mateo Santos (Mark Consuelos).

The All My Children return is being spearheaded by Ripa and Consuelos, and is their second attempt to bring the beloved series back to life. Previously, the couple developed Pine Valley, a primetime reimagining of the beloved series with a mysterious ‘Riverdale’-like twist.
Following the series' initial cancellation in 2011, the show found a brief revival in 2013 as production company Prospect Park revived the series for streaming, and the series returned for slightly over 40 episodes broadcast on Hulu.
Production on the film series has been described to the Los Angeles Times as being in the early stages of development. However, now that the script has been completed, viewers eagerly await news of casting and the start of filming.
