This is Gunna and this is my Chart History. “fukumean” is a fun song. It’s energy, good vibes, Miami. So how we came up with the song, we was at the Airbnb in the studio room, me, Nietzsche, P Litty, Flow. But I know for sure that I heard Dunk Rock. [Laughs] It was also just, like, a bunch of beautiful women in the room, just vibes and the beat playing. And I remember P Litty like, “Yeah, she really just saying yuh.” She from Morocco but she done lived in Paris, so, like, she got a French accent that just was, like, different, right? And then I’m like, “Man, just, you need to just record. Say this, just record it one time.” I duplicated it all the way through the song. I might have said, “fukumean,” and Nietzsche like, “Man, you need to say f— you mean with, like, everybody in the room. ” Whole room like, “fukumean?” That’s why it sounds like a lot of people when you hear “f— you mean,” ’cause there was a lot of people in the room. How I make a song, I freestyle and just kind of just, like, dissect it. But it, it start off with my feelings and, like, just how I’m feeling today.
