HENRIETTA, N.Y. — The Fairy Godmothers of Rochester is hosting another summer formal wear sale this weekend.
The event is taking place on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Marketplace Mall, inside the old Dick’s Sporting Goods store.
Organizers say people will be able to shop a wide selection of new and gently used women’s formal wear and accessories. They say most dresses are only $20.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit the 2027 prom fair. Prom fairs allow junior and senior high school students to get dressed for prom with the help from a personal shopper.
The nonprofit held its third formal wear sale last month, which also benefited the 2027 prom fair.
Ami Salzman, the president of Fairy Godmothers, was one of News10NBC’s ESL Heart of Service Award winners this year.
