However, House House has ditched that pesky goose for a game that values cooperation and bonding with your friends. Because of this, surely the game has cross-play?
Yes, Big Walk does have cross-play, but for you poor Xbox users unfortunately the game will not be coming to your console. Players with access to Steam, PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch 2 can all enjoy Big Walk together by using join codes.
These join codes will allow hosts to share the code and invite other players to their game, no matter what platform they’re on.
Between 2-12 players can join a game together, with different session options depending on how many people are joining.
Meanwhile, House House has not mentioned if the game will come to Xbox later, however hopefully the game will be ported onto more platforms.
Does Big Walk have cross-progression?
Yes, but it’s a bit more complicated. Big Walk opts for a system where the host is the keeper of the group’s save, and progress is saved on their system.
This means that if the group wants to continue their save file, the same host must launch the same session. Make sure you pick the most reliable friend to host your sessions!
