Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb has joined the dazzling line-up of Strictly Come Dancing 2026!
Robb is the twelfth celebrity to join the cast, following on from Graeme Hall who was announced yesterday (5 August).
In a statement, Robb said: "I don't know who’s more excited about this, me or my Mother. I can't quite believe that I am going to be getting my dancing shoes on this September on one of my favourite shows of all time! It's a dream come true, and I can't wait to bring my all to ballroom. Wish me luck, and any advice is very welcome - trust me I’ll need it!"
Best known for his role as Mackenzie 'Mack' Boyd on Emmerdale, Robb has been at the centre of many of the show's most explosive storylines, including affairs, kidnap, murder and this year's landmark crossover, Corriedale.
The actor joins a long line of Emmerdale actors who have taken part in the show, including Kelvin Fletcher, Gemma Atkinson and just last year, Lewis Cope.
Before joining Emmerdale six years ago, Robb appeared in I Hate Suzie alongside Billie Piper, Legally Blonde The Musical and Mojo in the West End.
The news of Robb's casting was announced via social media, with plenty wishing him well including co-star Bradley Riches and judge Motsi Mabuse who wrote: "Welcome".
The actor joins the previous announced Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Dame Sarah Storey, Jaime Winstone, Bethany Antonia, Shaun Wright-Phillips, and Graeme Hall.
This means just three celebrities remain to be announced as Strictly Come Dancing season well and truly begins!
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
