Wednesday night’s finals session will feature the 200 back, 100 fly, and 400 free, as well as timed finals of the 200 medley relay.
We kick off with the 200 back, where both Rowyn Wilber (2:13.19) and Lane Francis (2:13.71) qualified with sub-2:14s. Francis was entered with the fastest seed time (2:11.11) but it was Wilbur who earned lane 4 for tonight’s final. In the boys’ race, only Nico Lee (2:00.93) broke 2:01 this morning, while Jonathan Packles, Brayden Capen, and Elliot Leasure all swam 2:01s in heats.
Emma Grace Richardson (59.98) was the top qualifier in the girls’ 100 fly. Ines Arnall, Emma Bronson, Lucy Velte, Elliana Wiesen, and Eryn Arnold qualified with between 1:00.7 and 1:00.9. The middle lanes of the boys’ final will be occupied by Maxwell Stanislaus (53.55), Dawson Walters, Ethan Chung, and Cole Faut, all of whom broke 54 seconds this morning.
Ellie Patla dropped 3 seconds this morning to lead the 400 free qualifiers with 4:14.36. Top-seeded Alex Siegel and Adrienne Schadler both swam 4:16s and will be on either side of Patla. Kai Joyner (3:53.33) and Joey Eaddy (3:53.78) were 3 seconds faster than the rest of the field in the boys’ 400 free this morning; they battled it out in the final heat, previewing what we will see in tonight’s final.
