"Sydney has been moved to hospice and is surrounded by her friends and family. Thank you all for your love and support," he wrote, sharing a photo of Sydney's loved ones gathered around her hospital bed.
Millions of people have been following Sydney's story since she was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer, three years ago. Fans who have become internet family have been cheering, hoping, and praying for Sydney as she underwent a variety of treatments in an effort to beat the disease. "My stomach dropped. Was hoping to never see this post. Sending love," one TikTok user commented on Austin's post.
