National Night Out with Irondequoit Police
People can meet Irondequoit Police officers and take part in festivities on Tuesday at the Irondequoit Town Hall on Titus Avenue. National Night Out runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
People can see K9s, ATVs, and scuba gear at the event. There will also be a dunk tank, where people can try to dunk an officer, and a raffle for two new bikes. Wegmans will be there, providing hot dogs and ice cream.
Peace in the Roc and the World walk
The Memorial Ame Zion Church is hosting a walk on Tuesday to promote peace. The Peace in the Roc and the World walk begins at 8 a.m. at the church on 549 Clarissa St. You can register for the walk here or in person starting at 7:30 a.m. The walk will end at the church after going around the Genesee Riverway trail.
There will also be activities at the church from 3 to 7 p.m., including games, music, and food, as part of National Night Out. People can meet Rochester Police officers and Rochester firefighters at the event.
Crystal Beach Fire Department fundraiser
A fundraiser to support the Crystal Beach Fire Department in Canandaigua continues on Tuesday and runs through Saturday. People can go to the firehouse at 4468 New York 364 to buy pizza and subs to support the department. You can stop by from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and learn more here.
